How to Choose Between Them
Start with the entrance exam you are actually sitting, since that decides which of these colleges are open to you at all. Then use your expected rank against the cutoff column to sort the list into reach, match and safe options. Only after that does fee become the deciding factor — a college you cannot afford for four years is not a real option, and the annual figure above excludes hostel, mess and one-time charges, which commonly add a further 20 to 40 per cent.
Treat the placement column as an average, not a promise: it is pulled up by a handful of very high offers, and the median student earns less. Where two colleges are close, the branch matters more than the badge — a strong department at the second-ranked college usually beats a weak one at the first.
