Core metrics across channels: sessions/traffic (volume), conversion rate (% who take the desired action), bounce/engagement (did they stay?), and cost metrics (CPC, CAC) versus value metrics (revenue, ROAS, customer lifetime value / LTV). The most important single lever is often conversion rate — turning more of your existing traffic into customers is usually cheaper than buying more traffic.
A/B testing is how you improve scientifically: show version A to half your audience and version B to the other half, and keep whichever converts better. Change one thing at a time (a headline, a button colour, an offer) so you know what caused the difference. Data beats opinion — "let's test it" should replace "I think".
