Apt Time Work in Aptitude

If A can do a work in n days, A's 1-day work = 1/n. If A and B together complete work in n days, their combined 1-day work = 1/n.

If A can do work in a days and B in b days: Together they finish in ab/(a+b) days.

Efficiency method: Assume total work = LCM of all given days. Each person's daily work in units.

If A is twice as efficient as B, and B takes 12 days, then A takes 6 days.

Pipes and Cisterns: Filling pipe is positive work (+1/n per hour). Emptying pipe (leak) is negative (-1/n per hour).
