Apt Sequence Ap Gp in Aptitude
Arithmetic Progression (AP): a, a+d, a+2d, a+3d... n-th term: Tₙ = a+(n-1)d. Sum: Sₙ = n/2 × [2a+(n-1)d] = n/2 × (first+last).
Geometric Progression (GP): a, ar, ar², ar³... n-th term: Tₙ = a×rⁿ⁻¹. Sum: Sₙ = a(rⁿ-1)/(r-1) for r≠1.
For infinite GP with |r|<1: Sum = a/(1-r).
AP mean: middle term = average of all terms. Insert n AMs between a and b: common difference d = (b-a)/(n+1).
GP mean: Geometric mean between a and b = √(ab).
