Toppers repeat one thing: NCERT is non-negotiable for JEE and NEET. But how you use it differs by subject.
Biology (NEET): NCERT is almost the entire paper. Read it line by line, multiple times. Most NEET Biology questions are directly from NCERT statements and diagrams — memorise them.
Chemistry: NCERT is king for Inorganic and Physical Chemistry — especially Class 12. For Organic, use NCERT for fundamentals, then add reaction practice.
Physics: NCERT builds your concepts and has good examples, but Physics needs heavy numerical practice on top. Master NCERT theory, then solve problem sets.
The method: (1) Read the chapter, (2) solve every NCERT example + exercise, (3) make a one-page formula/fact sheet, (4) then do MCQ practice and mocks to apply it.
On Syllab.in you can practise chapter-wise MCQs for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, take free JEE/NEET mock tests, and use the AI tutor + rank predictor — all free.
