The AI Prompt Lab is a free, hands-on way for students to learn prompt engineering — the skill of asking AI clearly to get useful answers. Pick a real study task, write your prompt, and Syllab's AI coaches your prompt: what's good, how to make it stronger, and then it answers the improved prompt.

What you can practise

  • Explaining a hard topic simply (e.g. "explain photosynthesis like I'm in Class 7")
  • Making a revision/study plan before an exam
  • Generating exam-style practice questions
  • Understanding why an answer is wrong
  • Summarising a chapter into quick revision points

4 rules for a great AI prompt

  1. Be specific — name the class, subject and chapter.
  2. Give context — say what you already know and where you're stuck.
  3. Ask for a format — "in 5 bullet points", "with a worked example", "like I'm 12".
  4. Iterate — refine your prompt instead of starting over.
