  2. Physics and Chemistry are equally important with 80 questions each. Don't underestimate Chemistry — it can be a game-changer.
  3. The exam follows West Bengal Board curriculum (12th standard), which has some differences from NCERT. Use WB Board textbooks along with NCERT.
  4. Mock tests designed for WBJEE are crucial. Practice with official sample papers and previous years' papers to get familiar with the question style.

WBJEE Result, Cutoff & Counselling

How to check the result: Once the WBJEE result is declared, log in to the official conducting body's website with your application number and password / date of birth, then download your scorecard or rank card.

Understanding the cutoff: The WBJEE cutoff is the minimum rank or score needed to get a seat. It changes every year with the number of candidates, the paper's difficulty and the seats available, and it differs by category (General / OBC / SC / ST / EWS) and quota — so always check the latest official cutoff.

Counselling & admission: Admission is through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board counselling. You register, fill your college and branch choices by rank, and report for document verification and seat confirmation.
