How to Prepare for MHT CET

  1. Mathematics has 100 questions with a ¼ negative mark per wrong answer — be careful. Focus on accuracy in math more than speed.
  2. MHT CET syllabus includes both 11th and 12th standard content in equal proportion. Don't skip 11th standard topics.
  3. The exam is known for time crunch — 200 questions in 180 minutes is brutal. Practice solving questions in 50 seconds per question.
  4. Maharashtra Board textbooks (HSC) and NCERT both cover the syllabus. Use both as supplements to ensure complete coverage.

MHT CET Result, Cutoff & Counselling

How to check the result: Once the MHT CET result is declared, log in to the official conducting body's website with your application number and password / date of birth, then download your scorecard or rank card.

Understanding the cutoff: The MHT CET cutoff is the minimum rank or score needed to get a seat. It changes every year with the number of candidates, the paper's difficulty and the seats available, and it differs by category (General / OBC / SC / ST / EWS) and quota — so always check the latest official cutoff.

Counselling & admission: Admission is through the Maharashtra CET Cell (CAP rounds). You register, fill your college and branch choices by rank, and report for document verification and seat confirmation.
