Subject: Urgent Need for Stricter Plastic Ban Implementation
Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to highlight the urgent need for stricter implementation of the plastic ban in India. Despite government bans, single-use plastics continue to choke our environment and endanger marine life.
During my recent visit to Juhu Beach in Mumbai, I witnessed massive piles of plastic waste, tangled fishing nets, and dead sea turtles. Local vendors still distribute plastic bags, bottles, and straws without any concern. If this continues, our beaches will become uninhabitable within a decade.
The solution lies not just in laws but in their strict enforcement and public awareness. Authorities should conduct surprise inspections of shops, impose heavy fines on violators, and educate citizens about eco-friendly alternatives. Schools and offices should be mandated to use only biodegradable materials.
I urge the government and citizens to take this plastic crisis seriously. Small individual actions combined with strong regulatory measures can save our environment for future generations.
Yours faithfully
