Git Remote in Git & GitHub
`git remote` manages connections between your local repository and remote servers (like GitHub). By default, cloning creates an "origin" remote pointing to the source repository.
You can add multiple remotes to work with different servers. For example, origin (your GitHub repo) and upstream (the original repo you forked from).
Arjun's local repository has a "origin" remote pointing to the GitHub repository where he pushes code. If the original project is owned by someone else, he might also have "upstream" pointing to the official repo.
Git Remote — Syntax
git remote -v # List remotes git remote add <name> <url> # Add remote git remote remove <name> # Remove remote git remote set-url <name> <new-url> # Change URL
