VPN in Cyber Security

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and a VPN server, hiding your IP address and encrypting all traffic from snoopers.

VPNs are essential when using public Wi-Fi at coffee shops or airports, protecting sensitive traffic from interception. They also allow secure access to company networks remotely.

VPNs work by routing all traffic through an encrypted connection to the VPN server, which then forwards it to the destination. Your ISP and Wi-Fi network see encrypted data but not its contents.

Choose VPNs carefully—a VPN provider can see all your traffic, so reputation and privacy policies matter. Look for no-log policies, strong encryption, and transparent business practices.
