Cb Input Devices in Computer Basics
Input devices are tools that let you communicate with a computer. "Input" means putting information INTO the computer. Without input devices, you would have no way to tell the computer what to do.
A Keyboard is used for typing letters, numbers, and symbols. When you type on a keyboard, it sends that information to the computer. Students use keyboards for homework, programmers use them to write code, and office workers use them every day.
A Mouse helps you move a cursor (pointer) on the screen and click on things. When you click a button in a game or select a file, you're using the mouse to give commands to the computer.
Other input devices include Touchpad (on laptops), Touchscreen (on phones and tablets), Microphone (to record voice), Joystick (for gaming), and Scanner (to copy documents into the computer).
