Aws Route53 in Cloud Computing
Route53 is AWS's DNS (Domain Name Service). Maps domain names (example.com) to IP addresses or AWS resources (EC2, S3, CloudFront, ELB). Also manages domain registration and health checks.
DNS record types: A (IPv4), AAAA (IPv6), CNAME (alias), MX (email), TXT (text), NS (nameserver). Routing policies: Simple (single record), weighted (split traffic %), latency-based (nearest region), failover (active-passive).
Use case: Point domain to CloudFront, geolocation routing for compliance (India IP → Mumbai, US IP → N. Virginia), health checks for failover. Cost: ₹50/month per hosted zone.
