Ai Ml Basics in AI & ML

Machine Learning (ML) is a way of building AI where the computer learns from examples (data) instead of being given explicit rules. Instead of programming "if this, then that", you show the computer thousands of examples and it figures out the rules itself.

Traditional programming: You write rules → Computer follows rules → Gets output.\nMachine Learning: You give data + output → Machine learns rules → Can predict on new data.

Example: Teaching a spam filter. Traditional way: you manually write rules like "if email contains 'FREE MONEY' mark as spam". ML way: you show 10,000 spam emails and 10,000 real emails — the ML model automatically learns what patterns indicate spam, including patterns you'd never think of.

ML is now used in: medical diagnosis (detecting cancer from X-rays), credit scoring (will this person repay a loan?), self-driving cars, language translation, stock price prediction, crop yield prediction, and much more.
